THE EMPORIUM ‘Crafters Emporium’ was established in April 2015
Following the tremendous work of Tracey and daugther Rebecca, over the past 4 years The Emporium has now built a wonderful reputation of being a well loved Gift Shop filled to the brim with the work of Crafters Makers and Artists throughout the UK. Customers love being able to know who created their purchase and know that with every purchase made they are supporting small businesses mainly from the North East but can be East, South and West of the United Kingdom.

Within The Emporium we also offer Dry Cleaning and Alteration Drop and Collect Service. Dry Cleaning is collected on Wednesdays and Fridays 11am. The Dry Clean Company is Enhance Dry Cleaning from Seaham. The Dry Cleans also have a seamstress who can do alterations with a 2 week turn around. In house we have a textile student who can tackle the more day to day ‘make do and mend’ repairs as well as taking up Curtains.

Why do we do it
Simply because we enjoy it! Beginning as a home based Crafter, the owner Tracey turned her passion for all things crafty, into a beautiful Emporium. Tracey says “I am proud of what we have achieved as a family and am very delighted to have managed to build an outlet which supports Crafters/Artists and Makers from the UK. With rents from £12.50 a month people can achieve their own dream of building a craft business and for this reason I am very happy with myself!”
What crafts do you show
O The minimum stay here at The Emporium is only 8 weeks although many of our members have been in since opening in 2015. Resident Makers are always restocking with different makes and therefore The Emporium is constantly changing, typically though you can expect to see Textiles, Cards, Candles, Jewellery, Art etc etc...the list is endless. You can find lots of pictures of our Crafters Makers and Artists showcase spaces on our facebook page Crafters Emporium, pop by and give us a 'like'.
